News HSTA gearing up for Faculty Art Auction SHARE ON: Smith Autumn, contributor, Friday, Jul. 25th, 2014 The Haliburton School of the Arts (HSTA) is holding its annual Faculty Art Auction this year. Chair of the event, Ted Brandon says it’s been going on for over 30 years and they’re lucky to have the talent of well renown artists. Brandon says all the proceeds go to bursaries and scholarships to help students attend programs. The auction takes place on Thursday August 7. All the art is donated by artists who are current or previous faculty at HSTA. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. with a preview of the auction items. The live auction takes place at 7:00 p.m. and typically lasts for two and a half hours. Admission is free and open to the public, it will be held on the campus at 297 College Drive.
