Part of North Shore Road will be repaired this summer

Road repairs are underway for one of Algonquin Highlands’ busiest roads. The township will be doing approximately $2 million in work on North Shore road this summer and next. Mayor Carol Moffatt says the township would have been able to repair the entire road had its request for funding under the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund went through.

Moffatt adds North Shore Road will be worked on in sections.

Council had budgeted approximately $1.8 million this year for road work. Sections of the road are extremely bumpy and parts of the surface are wearing down.
