Two Bancroft area men have been fined after pleading guilty to illegal trapping charges. Dale MacDonald was fined a total of $1250 for trapping and killing a fur-bearing mammal during the closed season and for making false statements on a license application.
Dewayne Simpson was fined a total of one thousand dollars for obstructing a conservation officer and trapping more fur-bearing mammals than his license allowed.
Both men had their trapping license suspended for one year.
