There’s a power outage in Haliburton.
Power to the village was shut off just before noon so Hydro One could conduct emergency repairs to a pole that reportedly caught fire. There is no word on the cause of the fire. According to Hydro One about 5700 customers are without electricity.
Early estimates have the repairs finishing around 2:45pm. Drivers are reminded that during a power outage traffic lights are to be treated like a four-way stop.
