The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit announced that they have launched a new program letting consumers see inspection results for businesses in the area.
CheckINspection is a program designed to allow the general public to view inspection results for restaurants, beauty/body art businesses and recreational water facilities. Although results are on the website, part of the program is that businesses now have to display a green ‘pass’ sign or a red ‘fail’ sign that show the date and results of the most recent inspection.
Richard Ovcharovich the Manager of Environmental Health for HKPR believes that this is a win-win for businesses and the public because this gives businesses the ability to reassure the public, and the program is an easy way to ‘check in’ on businesses or services.
www.hkprcheckINspection.ca can be accessed by anyone and through the site, you can search for specific businesses.
