The Haliburton Lions, Legion Ladies Auxilary, and Bell partnered to bring back-to-school supplies to kids in the county.
2018 marked the 12th year of Backpacks for Kids in Haliburton County, and a program that started in Eastern Canada has Jim Winn the Regional Communications Rep amazed at how the program has grown in the county says Bell Canada.
Needful Things and Point in Time were also involved in the success of the program, Needful things providing the items for the backpacks at a discount price, and Point in Time will facilitate getting the backpacks to the children. The school year starts in less than a month.
