New TLDSB App Makes Getting Information Easier for Parents

The Trillium Lakelands District School Board has a new way for parents to get news and information.

The board has launched its new app, which it’s been working on since the last school year. The new app is from the same company that gave parents School Messenger.

The app itself is still in its early stages, but when downloaded it is supposed to work with a series of programs to gather and send out notifications and news catered to the individual. Parents and guardians can register which school or schools their children go to and the app will send out news, events and even bus delays.

Catherine Shedden, the Communications Manager with the school board, says that there was lots of research done into the applicability of the app and that parents were involved in the creation of it. She added that this is another tool from the school board’s metaphorical toolbox to be used.

Smartphone users can download the app by searching “Trillium Lakelands District School Board” in the app store and the Google Play Store.
