Anthem Singer Needed for Corduroy Enduro Race

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is in need of a singer to handle the national anthem tomorrow.

Algonquin Highlands Mayor Carol Moffatt announced on Facebook that they need someone to come sing at the Corduroy Enduro Race.

Moffatt says that the potential singer has to know both the French and English parts of “O Canada”. She added that for one hour of work the singer would get $200.

The singer will need to be at the Gooderham Community Centre to kick off the race at 8:00am. Anyone interested in the position is being asked to contact the event’s organizer Mark Zimney at 647-232-6093.

According to Moffatt, the race this year will have 307 racers plus their families in attendance for the beginning of the event
