The Dysart et al Fire Department was called to action 42 times last month.

Compared to August of 2017, that’s up from 33 calls.

When the Dysart et al Council meets on Monday, part of the agenda is to go over the monthly report from the fire department on the calls for service. According to the report submitted by Chief Mike Iles, the highest number of calls that the department got was for medical assistance.  They got 24 calls of that kind.

The second highest was for smoke detectors going off, which happened five times. Fire complaints and hydro line calls came in at four each. The report shows that there were only three calls for carbon monoxide detectors going off. Dysart fire only responded to one accident during the month.

Overall 2018 has seen 44 more calls so far compared to last year’s numbers.
