Land Trust seeks volunteers for phase two of turtle project

The Haliburton Highlands Land Trust is continuing their turtle saving project. Phase two of the turtle road mortality mitigation project will begin in the next two weeks. After close to three thousand hours of observing turtles, the Land trust chose a location on Gelert Road to install drift fencing to keep turtles off the road. They’re looking for more volunteers for the next phase. Contact the Land Trust for more information at 705-457-3700 or [email protected]
