No reported injuries after an abandoned house caught fire in Algonquin Highlands early this morning.
Algonquin Highlands firefighters were dispatched to a call of a structure fire on North Shore Road around 3:00am.
Mike Cavanaugh, the Algonquin Highlands Fire Chief, says that when firefighters arrived, the building was fully engulfed in flames. Cavanaugh says that the cause of the fire is still unknown, but confirmed the fire department is investigating. Fire Chief Cavanaugh says that there was no one in the home at the time, adding that it is a vacant building.
