Police seek Fleeing Suspects in Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton

A fleeing suspect has multiple police forces seeking a black pick-up truck in the Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton areas.

Police spotted a mid-2000s GMC Sierra extended cab with possible links to multiple thefts around 11:30am  this morning in the Village of Bobcaygeon.

Kawartha Lakes OPP attempted to stop the truck with lights and siren. Rather than pull-over, the suspect increased speed and headed North towards Kinmount.

A joint effort between the Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton OPP detachments continued to attempt to stop the truck. An OPP helicopter was also brought in to help officers on the road and keep track of the vehicle.
