Girls and young women interested in the trades are being invited to Peterborough next month.
Girls from grade nine to 12 in the Trillium Lakelands District School Board have been given an open invitation to attend an event geared to teach girls about jobs and careers in the trades.
Organizers say that “Women in Trades” will connect young girls with female mentors that work in the trades. Also, the event features a variety of tradeswomen there to talk to anyone thinking about getting into the trades.
Women in Trades is being held November 28th, in Peterborough at Fleming College and starts at 6:00pm.
