If you have experience in the tourism industry, Haliburton County might have a job for you.
The Haliburton Highlands are looking to add to their team in the tourism department. The county is taking applications for the job of Tourism Assistant, the Tourism Assistant has a variety of jobs including updating and maintaining the tourism website, sending out E-newsletters, take the lead in planning the annual Hike Haliburton, provide activity updates to the director of tourism, and basic reception duties in the office.
According to Andrea Bull, the Human Resources Manager for Haliburton County, to be eligible for the job you have to your high school diploma, you have to have excellent interpersonal communication skills, customer service skills, proven organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, as well, you’ll need a broad geographical and historical understanding of the area.
