Minden Hills all candidates meeting TONIGHT; election info

The last of Haliburton County municipalities will hear from their candidates tonight. The All Candidates Meeting for Minden Hills is at the SG Nesbitt Community Centre. Candidates for Reeve are Brigitte Gall, Brent Devolin and incumbent Barb Reid. Deputy-Reeve candidates are John Beattie, Rick Ashall and incumbent Cheryl Murdoch.

The event will run from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and is open to the public.

Here is the information for all registered voters:

Internet and telephone voting will be available this year along with paper ballots at a voting location in the township. You can find more detailed information on telephone and internet voting by clicking here. Eligible voters will receive an information letter in the mail which will arrive the week of October 1. Telephone and internet voting can start on October 10. You can vote in person by going to the Community Centre for the  Advance Poll, October 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or on Voting Day, October 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.   Telephone and Internet voting will also be available at the Community Centre those two dates. The Election Help/Revision Centre will be open at the municipal office, 7 Milne Street during regular business hours and will also be open to assist/do revisions on Saturday, October 11, 18 and 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Just note there will not be any paper ballot voting take place at the Help/Revision Centre – but telephone/internet voting will be available.
