News O.P.P. Investigating Theft at Shoppers Drug-Mart in Haliburton SHARE ON: Phil McCabe, contributor, Monday, Nov. 26th, 2018 The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. are investigating a theft at Shoppers Drug Mart in Haliburton Village. Aimee Mansfield, the owner of the Haliburton Shoppers, confirmed in an email that the store was the targeted in a theft of high-end perfumes and fragrances. In the email, Mansfield explains the thieves had a strategy, adding the suspects knew exactly where to go and were able to steal everything and leave the store before they knew the products were taken. Mansfield says her location got a tip from the Bancroft Shoppers, which Mansfield says “twigged us to review our surveillance. This is when we discovered the theft.” Mansfield says that the group of people responsible is known to target Shoppers Drug Mart because of their higher end fragrances. The owner of the store says in her email that no one was hurt, threatened or even aware that the theft occurred, attempting to squash any rumour staff was threatened during the theft. Mansfield closed her email by saying an O.P.P. investigation is underway. My Haliburton Now.com could not reach Mansfield for a comment.
