Haliburton County looking for Engineering Services tender on Eagle Lake Bridge

The county is trying to find some engineering services to look at the Eagle Lake Bridge.

Less than a month ago, Craig Douglas the Director of Public Works, got the pre-budget approval to dedicate $80,000 to engineering services to inspect the bridge at Eagle Lake.

With that approval, the county announced that they are looking for tenders from engineering services to handle the rehabilitation of the bridge. Douglas told My Haliburton Now.com that there is no reason for concern going over the bridge, but adds there is some work that needs to be done to it.

According to Douglas, the bridge is in need of some concrete being removed, replaced and water-proofed which he says is quite the labour intensive process.

To get more information on the Eagle Lake project or to ask for the RFP, people are asked to connect with the Administrative Assitant in Public Works, Pam Weiss. Her email is  [email protected], or you can reach her at 705-286-1762 ext 225.
