The Minden Hills Roads Department is buying a new plow truck, ahead of the 2019 budget.
In a winter that has been harsh on vehicles and roads staff, Minden Hills is looking to be proactive in getting a new plow truck for winters to come. Minden Hills council voted to allow the purchase of a tandem plow for the price of $306,174.63 including HST.
The township had issued a request for proposal to buy the plow. The winning bidder was Winslow Gerolamy Motors Ltd.
The purchase of the truck will not be included in the 2019 budget deliberations.
