Minden Hills hiring Municipal Law Enforcement Officer

The Township is looking to hire someone to walk a beat of sorts.

Minden Hills Township announced on Friday that it is looking to hire a part-time Municipal Law Enforcement Officer.

According to the town, the 35 hours a week job would be a temporary position with the possibility of being hired on permanently.

As the officer, the successful applicant will need at least two years in construction or a similar field, and two years of experience as a bylaw officer is preferred. Other qualifications include a “good understanding of the Ontario Building Code”, communication and intrapersonal skills, and a good understanding of municipal bylaws.

In terms of education and licences, the applicants need at least their grade 12 or equivalent as well as certification as set out by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and a G class licence.
