Highlands East looking for Organizational Review

The Municipality of Highlands East is trying to understand how to improve internal services for the future.

Highlands East staff announced last week that the municipality has issued a Request for Proposals on what it calls “Organizational and Compensation Review”.

According to the RFP, the municipality is looking for whoever gets the contract to delve into the services it offers, as well as the buildings and staffing requirements for each of those and provide insight and recommendations how each can be improved going forward.

Although the contract would be for a review now, a portion of the RFP is asking for suggestions directed to the needs of Highlands East 10 to 20 years from now.

Another aspect of the review the municipality is hoping to see in the finished product is a review of the way the different services are organized and structured.

If anyone is going to submit an RFP. they will need a cover letter and all of the RFP schedules. As well the person will need a detailed list of qualifications, key personnel, and sub-contractors.

They will also need to provide a work plan, a schedule, a summary of the expected expenses, as well as work references, samples of similar work and a presentation to give to the council.

The deadline to apply is April 11th at 4:00pm.
