Investments from the province of Ontario could mean more money to make cycling safer in Haliburton County. The county planning department has submitted information to the province about how the county can use the funding to improve their cycling. The money would go toward enhancements like pavement markings, bike lanes or cycling-specific signage. The submission is only the first step in what the province is calling a multi-year action plan.
