NewsTLDSB inviting students to Future Job Fair SHARE ON: Phil McCabe, contributor, Friday, May. 24th, 2019 A person doing trades work (photo provided by Bidvine - Pexels.com)Young people are the future and TLDSB wants them to see what that might look like.Students in Grade seven through 10 are being invited to register for the Future Job Fair. an event designed to let students learn about skilled trades.The job fair is being hosted collaboratively between Durham College and Fleming College and features a number of displays to do with the various trades. According to the organizers, the displays include ones for blasting and drilling, crane operator, welding, trades fundamentals, plumbing, HVAC and more.Any students that are going to register need to do so before May 29th. The fair itself is happening June 4th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Fleming’s Frost Campus in Lindsay.Aside from the interactive displays, the organizers have said that the first 100 students will get a swag bag and toolkit.
