Today’s focus in Crime Prevention week is the OPP KIDS program which is a 7 to 9 week program that comes to grade 6 students across Ontario, including Haliburton County. Dianna Dauphinee is the Community Services Officer for the Haliburton Highlands and she says the program is geared toward giving kids the information they need to make the right decisions. She says parents also play a crucial role in encouraging their kids to talk about what they’ve learned.
