Parker Pad and Printing is celebrating five years in Haliburton, and president Janis Parker has decided to commemorate it by contributing five thousand dollars to send 40 Highland Storm hockey players to an NHL game. The game will feature Buffalo and Colorado so the players can see Haliburton-local hockey stars Matt Duchene and Cody Hodgson in action. Parker says hockey is the fabric of the community and wanted to do this to help inspire young hockey players. Ten chaperons will also be on the trip which will be on December 20.
