Today’s focus for Crime Prevention week is promoting a program called Navigating Your Seniorhood. It’s a program that Manager of Community Safety Services, Robyn MacEachern says gives seniors and people caring for seniors resources for support and information about safety.

In the spirit of this year’s theme which is community partnerships, Navigating Your Seniorhood pulls information from various services offered throughout the community.

MacEachern says a lot of people they help don’t often know about the programs and resources that are available to them. That’s why the OPP offers this service as a place where people can find all the information they need in one place.

Anyone can visit their local detachment to pick up a toolkit package. All of the resources are also available online through the OPP website.
