The Health Unit is expanding their free dental program to include fluoride treatments to daycare centres in Haliburton County. Anna Rusak is a Health Promoter with the HKPR District Health Unit and she says the program will be available for parents who want their two year old or older to receive the free treatment. She says fluoride helps prevent cavities by making a child’s tooth enamel harder. It is voluntary and will be offered right in the daycare centre. Information will be sent home from your daycare. The treatments will be offered based on interest at each location.
