Canadian Fiddle Champion comes to Minden

Haliburton County will play host to the Fiddle Entertainer of the Year. Scott Woods is coming back to Minden to play a Christmas show in December. It’s part of a 24 show tour, but Woods explains what makes his shows a little different

To date, Woods and his band have raise over two million dollars for these organizations. In an interview with Moose FM, Woods explains what he loves the most about what he does.

In a family of fiddlers, Woods has been playing since he was young. He talks about their mandate as a band.

The live presentation, called Christmas Tradition will be at Archie Stouffer Elementary School on December 5. Tickets are $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for ages 6-12 and under 6 are free. The show will include old time fiddling, step dancing, singing, trick fiddling and family humour. Special performances will feature Gary & Nadine Boles and 14-year old Amanda MacInnis who plays the fiddle, sings and step dances.
