HALIBURTON, ON – A supervisor will appear in court to face charges related to the death of a Hydro One employee earlier this year.
According to an article by the Haliburton County Echo, the incident happened on March 21st near Coleman Road.
A 25-year-old Hydro One employee was transferred to the hospital after being injured during forestry work. He was pronounced deceased once he got to the facility. Other workers were treated for injuries and released.
An investigation was then conducted by the Ministry of Labour which resulted in the charges.
The supervisor will now appear in a Lindsay court on November 28 to face failing to take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of a worker, and for failing to work in a manner that did not endanger other workers.
