Start of Movember

MUSKOKA, ON-Movember kicks off today and Canadians coast-to-coast will be growing their own mustaches for charity.

This year celebrates the 13th annual Movember campaign in Canada and the movement raises money and awareness for mental and physical health as well as prostate cancer awareness.

The five rules to Movember are, on the first of the month a participant can start growing after they have completely shaven their face. For the second rule, you must grow and groom the mustache. Number three, don’t fake your mustache, no beards or goatees. Rule four is to use your mustache to garner conversation about Movember and to raise funds for men’s health. The last rule, each man must conduct himself as a true gentleman.

According to the Movember website, a mustache can inspire donations, conversations and real change when talking about men’s health. The website has multiple guides and how to’s so that you can grow your ideal mustache. From designs like the whisp, the rock star and the trucker, each mustache is designed to gain attention and draw people to the cause.
