Dysart council is talking about installing new lights for the streetlights in town. Director of Public Works, Brian Nicholson said maintenance has been a real issue lately, and they need to be addressed. He’s been looking into installing LED lights which would cut back on maintenance costs. Council agreed something needs to be done, so they passed the resolution to send a letter of intent. An audit of the current systems will be done, and will be free if they decide to move forward with installation. If they don’t, it could cost around 35 hundred dollars.
