The new Stanhope Airport has finished building the new hangars and is ready for winter. Airport manager, Cam Loucks says visitors to the airport have increased and pilots are very impressed with the new hangars. Both the access road and parking lot have been completed and all the winter preparations are done. The MNR is still moving their location to the airport, and will be doing construction through the winter to be up and running for March 2016. Algonquin Highlands council recently discussed the current tie down fees and agreed to increase them starting January 1 to keep up with current rates.
