A COVID-19 outbreak at the Pinecrest Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon, leaves 9 dead.
There have been 2 additional COVID-19 related deaths in the City of Kawartha Lakes, one of those cases related to Pinecrest Nursing Home. It is also reported that 24 Pinecrest staff have been confirmed positive for the virus, test results are pending for 10 staff and 6 have tested negative.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting a total of 41 cases of the coronavirus, and fortunately there are still no confirmed cases in Haliburton County.
HKPR district has Assessment centres around the region with a new drive through facility opening today in Haliburton County. Testing is by appointment only, after completing the COVID-19 Self Assessment tools at Ontario.ca/coronavirus.
