Minden Hills has joined the fire departments of Haliburton County and will not be issuing burn permits until further notice.
The public is reminded that the rules haven’t changed, and that between 7am and 7pm, no person can start an open air fire for burning untreated wood products, or leaves and brush.
Minden Hills also announced that all seasonal public parks, playgrounds, the downtown public dock and the Peck Street boat launch, are closed effective immediately. And the Minden, Lochlin and Irondale community centres and their playgrounds, remain closed until further notice.
