As we’re entering snowmobile season, the OPP want to remind you to stay safe and be responsible on the trails.
They’re sending out a few basic tips for you this season:
- Make sure that you carry your license, ownership and insurance
- Stay on marked trails and respect private property
- Obey the speed limit on trails
- Don’t drink and drive
- Before venturing out onto the ice, check to make sure ice conditions are safe
- Trail permits are required if you’re on an OFSC trail
- Make sure all permits are properly displayed on your snowmobile before heading out on the trails
