Two dogs seriously injured a woman and her young daughter in Haliburton.
The OPP were called to a residence on Gainforth Rd. Sunday, to assist with a serious bite complaint. A six year old girl and her mother were walking near their home when they were attacked by 2 Saint Bernard dogs.
The little girl’s bites were extensive and she was flown to a Toronto area trauma centre with critical injuries. Her mother’s injuries were non-life threatening and she was released from hospital.
The health unit ordered the dogs be placed in quarantine outside of the community, while the OPP continue their investigation.
