The Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the OPP provided an update to the serious dog attacks that took place last month.
A six year-old girl and her mother were walking near their home when they were attacked by two Saint Bernard dogs. The little girl’s bites were extensive and she was flown by air ambulance to a Toronto area trauma centre.
The mother and child are recovering from their injuries at home. At the request of the owners, the dogs were euthanized.
