Algonquin Highlands have opened more amenities after the province announced more restrictions lifted.
Effectively immediately, the Stanhope Courts and Sports Field on North Shore Rd., hiking trails, except Dorset Tower Trail, and municipal boat launches are open. Physical distancing and group size limitations still apply.
Algonquin Highlands Building Dept. will now issue building permits, however electronic applications are preferred, paid for by cheque, or if necessary, credit card payments can be arranged.
Township landfills can not accept construction and demolition waste until they are able to process payments other than cash.
Road Occupancy permits can be found online and must be submitted via mail or the secure drop box at the township office.
