It’s decision time for Hike Haliburton 2020.
Staff will present options to County council this morning to decide the fate of this year’s Hike Haliburton event, scheduled to take place the week of September 16.
Planning for the festival began in February with the development of the sponsorship package, sponsorship outreach and program development. This year planning was put on hold as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
Today county staff will present 4 options for the hiking festival, from full scale to cancelled.
Based on the Yours Outdoors report regarding the 2019 festival, it’s clear there is economic benefit to the festival within the community.
