Drug charges laid in the village of Haliburton

Cocaine and cash were found at an address on Mountain Street in the village of Haliburton.

The Central Street Crime Unit along with Tactics and Rescue and the Central Region Emergency Team, executed search warrants at an address on Mountain, May 28, after a months long investigation, and found eight ounces of coke and over $7,000 in Canadian cash.

Six people were charged with possession of cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking the coke.

Three of those charged are from Haliburton, one from Omemee and two from the Toronto area. All are scheduled to appear in court in September.
