Propane trucked rolled over on Twelve Mile Lake Road, no immediate danger says Fire Chief

A portion of Twelve Mile Lake Road from civic address 2100 is closed as crews attempt to remove a Budget propane truck that has rolled over.

It happened early this afternoon and Minden Hills Fire Department was called to the scene. Fire Chief Doug Schell says they’ve since left the scene for Budget to assess the situation. He says the team is discussing how to flip the truck in a safe way, and will call back the fire department half an hour before they’re ready to do it. Algonquin Highlands fire department will also respond as a safety precaution.

Schell says they are on standby but there’s no immediate danger or need to evacuate residents. The truck is located at the far end of the road, where only a few residents would be affected.

Haliburton Highlands OPP constable Dianna Dauphinee says no injuries are reported and there’s no word on evacuation or road closures. She says it’s best if motorists avoid the area for now.

More updates as they become available.
