CBC’s ‘Still Standing’ coming to Minden Hills

CBC Televison’s ‘Still Standing’ may be shooting an episode in Minden Hills.

The township has called a special meeting of council this morning to decide if they will allow the production to film in Minden.

In a written delegation, Producers say the show explores the challenges facing small communities across Canada, and celebrates the people who call them home. They go on to say that Minden is exactly the kind of community experience they look for – where there is a significant challenge, and the community is working together to not only meet that challenge, but move forward.

Still Standing producers say they are now filming season 7 and will stay in communication with the township as they do the research to “get the story right’”.

If Minden approves the project, their episode will be broadcast to up to 800,000 viewers, in the fall of 2021.
