Haliburton Lake area want drivers to slow down

Dysart won’t slow down the process to install slow down signs, in the Haliburton Lake area.

Representatives from the Haliburton Lake Cottagers Association and the Fort Irwin Residents Association appealed to Dysart staff to assist in the installation of 6 signs to remind motorists to slow down.

The locally made signs will be paid for by the two Haliburton Lake groups.

It was agreed that the township would visit the locations and mark the appropriate roadside spots ,as well as provide the poles for the signs using recycled materials.

Dysart council agreed that any new requests for public service signs should come to council and be decided on a case by case basis.
