Algonquin Highlands will be live-streaming their regular meeting of council on Thursday at 9am.
At the top of the agenda is a public meeting to review a zoning bylaw amendment for a property on Hwy 118 in the geographic township of Stanhope.
The request is to rezone the vacant property from rural to highway commercial, in order to construct a convenience store and tourist establishment. The property owner also wants additional permitted use for a farm.
Staff are recommending if approved, the lands be placed under site plan control to ensure that proposed development is in keeping with the rural character of the area.
