The OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit is continuing the search today for a missing canoeist on Pigeon Lake in the city of Kawartha Lakes.
On Tuesday evening five people left from a residence and went out in a canoe which then capsized. Four of the occupants were located by a boater and taken to shore. One occupant is still missing.
None of the occupants were wearing life jackets.
Uniform members, the local fire department and the OPP’s aviation services assisted with the initial search.
