News Single vehicle crash in Minden results in fatality SHARE ON: Nathan Shubert, contributor, Wednesday, Jul. 15th, 2020 MINDEN, ON-The Haliburton Highlands OPP is investigating a single-vehicle collision on Highway 118 that resulted in a fatality. With the assistance of the Bracebridge OPP, the incident that occurred just west of Big East Lake around 10:30 a.m. saw a car that had travelled over the guardrail and rolled over. The single occupant, a 59-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene but the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin. The investigation is continuing under the direction of the Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team. The OPP Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigators are also on the scene. All lanes are blocked and expected to remain closed for several more hours.
