Smokers get a four-wheel incentive to quit this New Year

Smokers HelpLine is trying to make it easier for people in Haliburton County to quit smoking for their New Year’s Resolution. Regional Coordinator Tammy Adams says they’re launching the Driven to Quit Challenge which happens in March. To give incentive, everyone who registers will go in a draw to win a new car. People who register with a “buddy” will get two entries. Adams explains why a buddy is so important.

When it comes to quitting, Adams says it’s the most common New Year’s Resolution, but it’s also incredibly difficult to do. She says everyone can play a role in a person’s decision to quit, and they need all the support they can get.

You can register by February 28, and you have until March 1 to quit. She explains why they are giving people so much time.
