Our district Health Unit has been busy providing support to local organizations. According to the health unit, every year they donate to a charity that is making a difference to people in the community. The Haliburton office decided that instead of having a holiday luncheon, they would donate 200 dollars to SIRCH Community Services, and they also donated food items to the annual Fill the Truck food drive.

The Health Unit’s Port Hope office also donated 700 dollars to The Help Centre of Northumberland. The Lindsay office collected items for the Kawartha Lakes Food Source and also donated 80 dollars in their bake sale proceeds to the Unity Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes.
