A household hazardous waste day is happening Saturday at the S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre in Minden Hills.

Dick Street in Minden Hills will be closed on Saturday, as will Upper and Lower Arena Connection Road. Town officials say that local traffic will be allowed through.

If you’re trying to get to the Community Centre to drop off your hazardous waste, you will need to take Parkside Street.

You can drop off adhesives, aerosols, auto lubricants, compressed gas, cement, fertilizers, gasoline, household cleaners, leaking or broken containers, paints and stains, paint thinners, pesticides, personal care products, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, propane.

You’re not allowed to leave biohazardous waste, PCB paint or ballasts, explosives like fireworks or dynamite, communication, or radioactive material.

The waste day will be held from 7:30 AM to 2 PM.
