An early report from Dysart’s treasurer is showing a deficit leading into the new budget year. Barbara Swannell told council that so far they have a deficit of around 282 thousand dollars. She says most of it is coming from maintenance from last year’s harsh winter and the rainstorms that caused multiple washouts in the summer. All of that and more will be taken into consideration when council finalizes the budget for this year.
