Some new developments in transportation could be coming to Haliburton County if the Rural Transportation Options Committee gets funding. They got one step closer to submitting the application yesterday when Dysart council agreed to support them. The funding from the province would mean they could start a website and phone line to give people more information about transportation. They also want to hold a summit for rural transportation and start a taskforce. They’ll be asking county council to submit the application at tomorrow’s meeting.
